About Dr Lampkin
I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2011, trained across the North West, and was appointed a consultant in 2022. During my training years, I saw first-hand the profound impact that a cancer diagnosis can have on individuals and their families. This is what inspired me to pursue a career in Oncology.
I work across both the NHS and private sectors, offering specialist and innovative treatment tailored to the individual needs, circumstances and wishes of each patient. I specialise in urological cancers, particularly prostate and bladder cancer, providing comprehensive oncological management across different stages of the diseases, as well as radiotherapy for skin cancers using a range of advanced radiotherapy techniques to treat a range of skin malignancies including melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
I also treat a number of painful benign conditions with low-dose radiotherapy, having trained in it through the RTABC Academy, and I am among only a small number of clinicians in the UK with expertise in this area. Alongside my clinics I sit on the NICE committee for prostate cancer diagnosis and management, and I am actively involved in clinical research, participating in local clinical trials with the aim of advancing treatment and improving outcomes for patients.
I believe good cancer care isn’t only about treating the disease. It’s about understanding the person behind the diagnosis, listening properly, and making sure you’re involved in the decisions about your own treatment.
“My mission is to provide expert, evidence-based and personalised cancer care that puts each patient at the heart of every decision, combining specialist expertise with compassion, understanding and support throughout their treatment journey.”

Radiotherapy for melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. A good option where surgery would be difficult, includes orthovoltage, electron and skin brachytherapy.

Benign conditions treatment

Starting your private cancer treatment journey is a lot easier than many people expect.
1
Get in touch to book a consultation.
Email me with some information about you and your diagnosis and I’ll be in touch to book in a consultation.
Note: for Cancer referrals we will usually require a direct GP referral to me at Clatterbridge Private Clinic.
2
Have your consultation.
We’ll review your history, your diagnosis and any test or scan results. I’ll examine you, and I’ll set out the treatment options I think are worth considering.

Start treatment.
If you decide to go ahead, I’ll plan your treatment and talk you through what each stage involves and how long it will take, and get you started right away.
I see both self-funding patients and patients covered by private medical insurance. If you’re insured, it’s worth
